‘Lost in Danville’

A space ship falls in the boys’ yard, but where’s it from? At first, no one can open it, but Buford finds the keys which allows easy access. We come to find out that it’s two elderly people living inside with a hamster responsible for keeping the galaxy from collapsing. Eventually, the hamster does give way, so the kids call out to Candace to try and help them out.

Meanwhile, Perry has to go investigate who kidnapped Doof.  After some investigation, we see Doof held captive in a warehouse.  Turns out, Mr. Mystery has Doof tied up, but who the hell is he? Ordinarily, this Mystery guy goes after Peter the Panda, but this time the crazy dude has an inator he’s looking to try on evil Doof. Thankfully, both Panda AND Perry show up and beat up their respective bad guys. However, it seems as though the Mystery dude is nearly as vengeful as Doof, and as a matter of fact is related to the two elderly people from earlier.

But all of this took place in an alternate reality sooo…

This special was a big of a let down. Seriously, if the producers didn’t put Damon Lindelof’s name in the fucking credits, I woulda thought this week’s episode of Phineas and Ferb was just like any other. Hell, we even had a song! I did enjoy the Mysterious dude, and the Panda was cute as hell, but if you were tuning in to this episode thinking there’d be a big bash like the Marvel and Star Wars specials, then you were sorely disappointed.

The Inator Method

Candace is supposed to be doing chores, but she’s also gaming pretty heavy. She decides to do both at the same time which starts out ok, but since Candace’s concentration isn’t focused she begins to screw up her chores.

Meanwhile, the kids decide to build a solar system, and Perry’s off to another mission. We find out that Doof is doing a motivational speaking tour and has rented an auditorium to blast his message. The kids decide to build said solar system so that a bunch of kids can race in outer space…kinda.  Just as Candace is able to make the bust, some random guy comes buy and purchases the solar system all the while getting Candace in trouble for screwing up her chores.

Doof uses his seminar as an excuse to try out his new inator that makes people buy his merchandise while Perry is trapped. Thankfully, everyone comes to and just chases Doof out of the building.

Now THIS was more like it. Yea, sure you had your fair share of normal shit that featured the classic Phineas and Ferb trope, but with a different sort of outro for Doof and Candace actually taking part in a funny plot that isn’t part of the normal routines, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say that this was the episode to tune into.
