Regular Show movie and Adventure Time special highlight CN Upfront 2015

Starting this Thursday we won’t be covering Regular Show or Adventure Time for a while because Cartoon Network keeps fucking with the schedules and it’s starting to get a little irritating for us. Here’s hoping by the time some of this new programming airs, the network will get its act together.

Along with announcing the returns of both Regular Show and Adventure Time, Cartoon Network has announced special events for both series including a new full-length Regular Show movie, and an Adventure Time special mini-series. Here are synopses about both:

  • Regular Show: The Movie: From the creators of the hit Cartoon Network series Regular Show, comes a time travelling long-form special.  After accidentally creating a “Timenado,” slacker groundskeepers Mordecai and Rigby go back in time and battle an evil volleyball coach in order to save the universe… and their friendship.
  • Adventure Time Special Mini-Series: In this multi-part series, Finn and Jake face a new threat to Ooo when Princess Bubblegum’s experiment unleashes ghosts from Marceline’s past.

 

When these specials will air is anyone’s guess. As a matter of fact, Cartoon Network may move both Regular Show and Adventure Time to Midnight EST time slots starting in April given the recent constant time changes. So, let’s see how this plays out.
