LOTS OF BIG NEWS FOR TONIGHT’S ALL NEW EPISODE OF FUTURAMA

First thing’s first, if you have DirecTV you are screwed because you can’t watch tonight’s all new episode of Futurama. However, for the rest of us there’s a BUNCH going down for tonight’s episode the first of which is a guest starring spot with the great George Takei (Star Trek, Howard Stern Show) which if that was the only thing we were reporting, I’d be happy with that just by itself. Buuuuuut, there’s more.

Second, you can actually live chat with the rest of the cast and crew as part of Comedy Central’s “Futurama Live” promotion which is happening on the  Futurama” page, the show’s Facebook page and Ustream. Fans can actually submit questions via Facebook, @ComedyCentral on Twitter or at Answerama, the show’s page on the Sci-Fi & Fantasy Stack Exchange.

And that’s not all, as part of the promotion the exec producers David X. Cohen, Matt Groening, plus voice stars Maurice LaMarche, Billy West, and John DiMaggio will be doing giveaways, showing off clips of next week’s episodes, and Billy will actually be reading off a bunch of Fry inspired memes.

Yep, Futurama is all new tonight @ 10:00pm EST on Comedy Central, check your local listings and be sure to come back later on today for a full preview.

I liked the Thief of Baghead (last week’s episode) a lot better than Decision 3012 so in this week’s episode Leela’s mom is dating Zapp Branagan. Just a head’s up: get ready for more ridiculous punch lines. Without these random things Futurama just wouldn’t be the same. Tonight’s episode will be airing on Comedy Central while I’m at work so a Dish co-worker suggested trying out the remote access app. It allows me to stream live TV or anything I’ve previously recorded to my iPad through my Sling Adapter and it works great with the Hopper. Tonight on my lunch break I’ll be watching the show, awaiting the scene about the Treaty of Table Seven. Now I can watch every episode on the train ride home on my iPad. Futurama is going full steam towards the great show it used to be.
