“Imaginary Mary” Delayed; To Have Fewer Episodes in First Season

Well, this sucks.

Currently in production for ABC, Imaginary Mary’s first season is getting off to a rocky start. Originally ordered for 13 episodes, Deadline is reporting that the live-action/animated hybrid has had four episodes cut, and will probably be delayed for a premiere.

From the looks of it, the live-action parts are really good, but the animated part needs tweaks, hence the delay, because when it’s animation, that’s what happens. Jenna Elfman stars alongside Stephen Schneider, Rachel Dratch as Mary (VO), Nicholas Coombe, Matreya Scarrwener and Erica Tremblay. Sony TV co-produces with ABC Studios.
