Holy $H!+ Bento Box launches Digital Studios; Announces Four Shows

Holy friggin’ fuck me. Bento Box Studios isn’t busy enough with shows like Bob’s Burgers, Legends of Chamberlain Heights, Bordertown, and others all over the dial, instead the guys throw in a digital studio division called Bento Box Digital Studios. According to Variety, this means that new programming is on the way which includes new and familiar faces that should get you stoked:

  • “sWooZie’s Adorably Dead,” an original animated comedy created by sWooZie, a YouTube comedian, animator and former pro gamer with 3.8 million subscribers;
  • “The Pandas,” a 13-episode animated comedy series (pictured above) from Danish creators Mikael Wulff and Anders Morgenthaler that will feature a cast of social influencers and voiceover actors, being produced with Toronto-based Corus Entertainment;
  • “The Damn Show,” a revival of cult-favorite sketch comedy series from the creators of Comedy Central’s “Brickleberry,” Waco O’Guin and Roger Black, a weekly show that will mix live-action and animated content; and
  • “Glove & Boots,” a weekly puppet show from creators Damien Eckhardt-Jacobi and Vincent Bova, who launched it on YouTube two years ago.

The Pandas we knew about and documented last year and already it sounds really good. But, holy fuck…THE DAMN SHOW! For kids at home that don’t know, The Damn Show was at one time a DVD collection with Roger Black and Waco O’Guin producing that featured AWESOME bits both animated and live-action. Examples included Sesame Street clay porn, and the brilliant Inebriated the Koala.

Content released will be featured in multiple platforms across the web, with Variety further elaborating:

Bento Box Digital Studios plans to distribute its content across multiple digital and mobile platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Snapchat and Instagram, as well as via live-streaming. For the new digital studio, BBE also struck an exclusive partnership with Littlstar, an aggregator of VR video, to produce, curate and distribute immersive animated VR content.

Other content will be announced later this year. I hope this will include the revivals of The Awesomes and Brickleberry because both were taken from us WAY too soon.
