People don’t give Family Guy enough credit for being one of the few television franchises on broadcast TV in attempts at normalizing weed humor. The “Bag of Weed” song is still one of the show’s best musical numbers, and High Times called “Brian”, a cannabis advocate for the entirety of the show’s run, “Stoner of the Year” as a result of the “420” episode that aired as part of season 12. There are other legendary weed moments featuring Brian as well, like when he gets high with his son, or when Lois and Peter get high and think they have a music career. Much to the chagrin of the PTC, Family Guy will be a part of the pot-animated lexicon for years to come.
