FOX Orders Son of Zorn
Last week it was in contention, and now it’s a go! FOX has officially ordered the live-action/animated comedy Son of Zorn for a 2016/2017 start.
In Son Of Zorn, an animated fantasy warriors that reconnecting with his estranged live-action son and ex-wife while suffering through a mundane office job and the banality of suburban life is harder than waging war in his distant, animated homeland.
The series stars Jason Sudeikis as Zorn, Cheryl Hines as his live-action ex-wife Edie, Tim Meadows (!!!) is Edie’s new boyfriend Craig, and Artemis Pebdani as Zorn’s new boss at Sanitation Solutions.
The series is being developed by Clone High producers Phil Miller and Chris Lord. FOX has made several attempts at looking at animated comedies that feature more fantastical aspirations. Zooey Deschanel, Golan the Insatiable, and others have all tried and failed, though I’m glad FOX kinda took something on that doesn’t sound forced.
