“Family Guy” May Have Warned Us About Larry Nassar Years Ago

Did this happen again?

Following the recent sentencing of Larry Nassar of USA Gymnastics for sexually abusing young gymnasts on their way to the Olympic Games, a clip from a classic Family Guy episode entitled “Foreign Affairs” has come to the forefront as a possible warning from the show’s producers to anyone listening that perhaps there were certain practices from Gymnastics staff that should be looked into more keenly.

In “Foreign Affairs”, Bonnie and Lois take a little trip to Paris where Bonnie crosses the line by trying to cheat on Joe with another handicapped guy.

Family Guy is an American animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter and Lois; their children, Meg, Chris, and Stewie; and their anthropomorphic pet dog, Brian. The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island, and exhibits much of its humor in the form of metafictional cutaway gags that often lampoon American culture.
