Everything You Need to Know About ‘Mr. Pickles’ Season Two (according to the producers)

You know, as well as I know, that you plan to watch the second season premiere of Mr. Pickles which happens tonight @ Midnight ET/PT, only on Adult Swim.

In the season one finale, you may recall that Grandpa was thrown into the loony bin after trying to out Mr. Pickles as a dog that works for Satan. In the second season premiere, Mr. Pickles tries to bust Grandpa out of the asylum. Producers Will Carsola and Dave Stewart tell us that Mr. Pickles can’t stand the fact that Grandpa is actually HAPPIER in the crazy house because he doesn’t have to deal with that “damn dog”.

Just in case you aren’t that familiar with Mr. Pickles, here’s a refresher course to get you in the know:

 

Mr. Pickles is a dog and the titular character of our series, but that doesn’t mean he’s a hero. “We write him as both good and bad” says the producers “sometimes he’s more good, and sometimes he’s more bad”.

Tommy Goodman rewards Mr. Pickles with pickles for being a ‘good boy’. “He’s dumb as shit” which is true…but in the upcoming season we’re told that Tommy’s going to take matters into his own hands as time goes on.

Stanley Goodman is Tommy’s dad. “For the upcoming season, we’re going to focus less on how crappy Stanley’s job is because we did a lot of that for the first season.” Don’t fret Stanley fanboys, the producers assure us that Stanley will be very well represented this season.

Grandpa Goodman is Tommy’s grandfather. We gave you a good chunk of what to expect in the show’s premiere, but we’ve also been told by Dave and Will to not to expect the same cat-and-mouse games of season one with Grandpa constantly trying to bring down Mr. Pickles.

In terms of show’s new and returning guest characters. Frank Vincent is expected to return as Jon Gabagooli (“we kept him alive last season just in case if we had another idea for him”). We can also expect an upcoming episode where we get to tease vegans (ironic because Will and Dave are in fact vegans). For this episode alone, notable vegans such as Rob Zombie, Steve-O, and more guest star. We’ve also got quite a few more guest stars that you should know about here.

Best news yet, Mr. Pickles Season Two will delve deeper into the Town’s ancillary characters. Will and Dave tell us to expect to spend more time with the Deer Hunters, the Sheriff, and Mr. Bojenkins during the course of season two.
