English Dub Review: ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. “Overlapping Footprints In The Distance”

We finally wrap on a few needless arcs.

While Lotta spends the episode at restaurants and fawning over fucking toast, her brother Jean is on a new assignment in Birra for his next audit. We learn this district is up in the mountains but is self-sufficient in food and trade. A full audit is complete, but the big deal that happens here is that Jean confronts the stalking Nino, but overall it doesn’t seem like the chain-smoker is all that annoyed about his best friend not being completely honest.

Jean heads home, then heads to his next assignment…the Rokkusu District. And guess who lives here? Chief Officer Grossular. Should be a nice visit when we tune in next week.

Our Take

Dude…all the restaurants and food in this episode is just bonkers. Seriously, I think this series is Japan’s single revenge against the United States’ The Food Network. In any case, I rather liked a lot of the progression in this episode. We wrapped up the short art featuring Nino, got through another district, and are heading right into the next bit. A nice little cliffhanger at the end assures that I’ll be checking in a week from now.
