Homer spends a little time in his new neighbor’s backyard sweat lodge, and in no time he finds himself hurtling through time – at least that’s what he thinks. Meanwhile, the rest of Springfield is tackling a tornado that’s tearing through town.
SPRINGFIELD: YEAR ZERO
There’s a tornado on the way and Homer gets locked in his neighbor’s hut which comes loose and is pretty much thrown down a hill and into Springfield Park. When he gets out, Homer is confronted by a couple of nights leading him to believe that he went back in time. Turns out its just a couple employees who roll Homer’s ht into the nearby river and when he stops he comes across a Civil War reenactment brigade in which almost gets taken out when the hut starts moving again. Again the hut stops but Homer thinks he hears dinosaurs which really just ends up being a crane that grabs the ht and throws it into a pickup truck. The truck drops Homer off at a junk yard where he gets chased by clone apes until Cletus shows up to grab Homer and save the day!
Meanwhile, Marge and the kids set out to find Homer by posting a bunch of posters and whatnot throughout town but to no avail with the exception of Moe who comes around looking to sweep Marge off her feet, but thankfully she ain’t buying because Homer returns safe and sound.
Well, seeing as how FOX screwed us over on The Simpsons the other night I suppose this is the best we are going to get for the next few weeks.. That said, this plot was a lot of fun and it was pretty humorous watching Homer end up in the different ‘time periods’. From the Civil War to the Renaissance this issue of Simpsons Comics had just about every era covered and as such is totally worth the purchase price! Just don’t go out and get it with twister warning, yea??
