This one could be important.

Spoilers Below

In a rather timely issue given our state of the nation, this week, Rick and Morty get a hold of a gun that can scan and tell you how close to Hitler they are. For Jerry, it’s nothing, so Rick fools him into thinking that he gave him a bit of juice so that the dilapidated father can feel more confident in his everyday life…the confidence that comes with being a ruthless dictator.

Rick and Morty continue to galavant across dimensions that feature worlds with all Hitlers and as such Morty feels compelled to kill them all, but Rick finally convinces him that there are infinite Hitlers so it’s near impossible to do so.

Our Take

Not a bad issue, on one hand, the premise was kinda derivative of the other Rick and Morty adventures:

1) The guys go to a planet

2) At first, it’s cool, but then they mess shit up

3) Someone realizes that something went wrong so they have to atone for their sins.

I did like the brief aside about the difference between fascism and communism, could prove educational in these trying times. However, the dialogue is aloof with a weird dichotomy of rated PG and corny derivatives of crass language mixed with censored speech. It gets a bit unnerving after a bit, and we didn’t even get a second strip this month to kind of give us some quick laughs before we called it, but overall, a decent issue nonetheless.
