Comics Review: Rick and Morty #24
This might be an open and shut case on best comics series of the year.
I don’t know what it is, but 2017 has been excellent to Rick and Morty comics and #24 really makes it 3 for 3 this year.
The issue takes on more of a spooky story when Rick, Summer, and Morty commandeer one of Rick’s lost ships that’s haunted with ghosts and skeletons and features bleeding walls. Fortunately, everyone gets off the ship ok…actually that’s a lie. I won’t spoil the end, but let’s just say it involves a fire ax and multiple trips to the ER for Morty.
I loved the story, the drawings were excellent and matched the show, and the dialogue was so good. Seriously, every page has so many jokes on it that if we only got blank pages and nothing but dialogue, the book would probably still get a pretty high score. The only thing this issue is getting penalized for is that ridiculous “BLEEP” line. Seriously, what kind of a world do we live in where we can’t say “fuck” in comics?
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
