Comic Review: Brickleberry ArMOOgeddon #2

Thank you, Jesus Jackson, for this comic!

I loved issue #1 of Armoogeddon. To quote Denzel, “It makes me laugh hard, and get hard.” So my immediate question as I was flipping open #2 was this: is it going to hold up to the first issue, in terms of laughs per page? I can undeniably say that it was even funnier than and more entertaining than the first comic, and that is hard to top!

I honestly don’t even know where to start when discussing the second installment of the Brickleberry comic series. In the last review, I went over how hilarious, outrageous, and self-aware the comic was. The same can be said for its successor, except amped up to 11. We get some additional delightful sacrilege thrown in, as we partake in Jesus’s upbringing by our favorite OG of “The Cool Friends Gang.” Between this and the Bible, this is definitely the more entertaining work of fiction about that character Jesus. [Sorry, I couldn’t resist! It was there, and I had to take it.]

Additionally, we get an update on our favorite hobo, Hobo Larry. I love how minor, fan-favorite side characters are making quick cameos. The first issue had Jorge and Kuzniak (if you consider him minor), and this one had Hobo Larry and one of the old woman that Denzel banged. Are we going to get a Yucko cameo and possibly a nod to Inebriated The Koala? We’ll find out over the next two months.

I didn’t think it could be done, but Armoogeddon #1 has been topped. If the trend continues, then by the time we get to issue #4, it’ll literally melt our faces off like the Ark of the Covenant with its sheer comedic epicness. In a world of sitcoms that play it safe, with extreme mediocrity, Brickleberry is always welcomed by myself and others who share a common trait- a sense of humor- to shake things up. Bring on #3 and #4 and don’t hold anything back!
