We have SOO MUCH news piled up for The Annoying Orange and instead of making a bunch of different posts about it we decided to just post them all in here. After the jump, get news on the latest in licensing deals, a Season 2 pickup, and the debut of The Annoying Orange Comic book series!
Here comes somet Annoying Orange Comics! We mentioned a while ago that Papercutz was working on bringing the graphic novel to the masses and now we have proof.
According to Comixology, The Annoying Orange in Secret Agent Orange “jumps out of the fruit bowl and into his first graphic navel! Has Orange gone insane – or insaner? He believes he’s always been a top secret agent for the CIA and his mission has been to take out 1,000,000,000 targets by any means necessary, usually with a kitchen knife. Can the virtually unstoppable Orange really manage to pull off a billion hits before someone is able to end this madness?” The issue is due to release December 19, 2012 in comic book stores everywhere. Check back in around then when we put up a full preview.
To go along with Comic book licensing, The Collective has decided to announce a few more international deals for the popular Youtube series. As according to KidScreen, Henson’s international TV distro arm “HIP” will be internationally distributing the popular TV series of the same name into a number of different territories which is good because The Collective announced another deal in the UK and Ireland for a bunch of new merchandise.
Also, The Annoying Orange has been picked up for a second season and is set to air in April 2013 this time for a whopping 39 episodes so don’t worry kids, orange you glad there’s more Orange??
