BubbleUK: iTV nabs Seth MacFarlane’s ”Family Guy”, ”American Dad”, and ”Bordertown”
It’s a move we’ve been watching for a while, and it looks to have finally happened! iTV has bought the rights to Family Guy and American Dad! which will begin airing on iTV2 this fall. Better yet, the network has also secured the rights to all four seasons of The Cleveland Show and Seth’s upcoming series Bordertown.
Don’t worry BBC3 fans, the network has said that Family Guy will continue airing on the network until 2017, but iTV has itself a COUP. They secured the rights to four animated shows with Seth MacFarlane’s name on it which should have after effects like higher Ted box office numbers and more merchandise.
No start dates for the other shows have been announced other than Family Guy which kicks off its 15th season this fall on iTV2, but in fairness we don’t even know when the fuck Bordertown premiers here in the United States, so we have to figure that out as well. Hell, at this rate, the UK audiences will get to see the new series before we do!
