Bubbleblabber’s 2014 Prime-time Emmy picks for Best Animated Series
The Emmy ballots went in last week for the upcoming Emmy Awards, and we have our own ideas on who should be nominated when the nominations are announced July 10th:
Rick and Morty
Here’s what we said:
Without breaking down every single remaining episode, I’ll just say that the exact halfway point of the season – Episode 6, “Rick Potion #9” – was the worst episode of the season, and I would probably still give it an 8 or 8.5 out of 10. The show is seriously that good.–Gonzo Green

Archer
…All signs pointed to this grand experiment eventually ending, and the show returning to some state of normalcy more like the previous seasons. It was a great run, and wonderfully successful, but this secret agent show needed to return to being about, well, secret agents. –Gonzo Green

Lucas Bros. Moving Company
The Lucas Bros were fortunate in this regard, and they clearly have used it to their full advantage, working together to create a series that is very funny, well-produced, and capable of showcasing two twins that are, in reality, not afraid to be like one another, regardless of whether it’s in regard to clothing, personality, interests, opinions, or their job.–Gonzo Green

Axe Cop
Axe Cop seems primed for a successful run, many years to come.–John Blabber

Squidbillies
