Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi Appears in New Heavy Metal Cartoon Series
VH1.com has a new animated series called The Complete History of Heavy Metal, and legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi starred in the very first episode.
Entitled “Fingers Bloody Fingers,” the installment can be seen online now, with the release coinciding with Iommi’s 67th birthday yesterday.
On the show, Tony talked the loss of two fingertips as a teenager, and how it contributed to both Sabbath’s sound and the birth of metal itself.
Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma three years ago, and finished his regular treatment last year. We sincerely wish him all the best, and thank him for the incalculable amount of happiness he has brought to music fans around the world and across the ages.

Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
