Black Clover Announced For Return On Toonami

Black Clover is slated to return to Toonami on February 13th @ 2 am. The announcement comes as the Black Clover camp has recently announced that the series will end on March 31st with the 170th episode that will also feature an announcement of some sorts. That said, Funimation is still producing the English dub but has been stuck on episode 144 since the end of January (as of this writing), most likely challenges stemming from COVID-19 production challenges that saw the Japanese production halt for a few weeks for both Japanese audiences and English audiences.

For those annoyed that Toonami is simply shepherding anime series already streamed by Funimation eons ago, note that Jason DeMarco has promised a multitude of original series to hit the block later this year which includes Blade Runner, Uzumaki, and Fena: Pirate Princess.

Black Clover is an anime television series adaptation by Pierrot It is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu writing scripts, Itsuko Takeda doing character designs, and Minako Seki composing the music

Toonami will be broadcasting from the episode #137 entitled “Charmy’s Century of Hunger, Gordon’s Millennium of Loneliness” that you can see our review for here.
