As If Firing The Producers Wasn’t Proof Enough, TBS’ “The Cops” Announced As Cancelled

It was only a matter of time, I suppose.

TBS’ The Cops has officially been scrapped by the network. The Louis C.K.-Albert Brooks starrer was in production for 10 episodes in association with Starburns Industries when the sexual misconduct allegations against Louis C.K. came to pass which lead to TBS suspending production of the series which of course lead to the “just in time for the holidays” massive layoffs of the production crew.

There was talk of perhaps replacing the character of Lou with an entirely different character and voice actor, but I guess the now Disney-owned FX Productions wanted no part of it, and instead, proceeded with pulling the plug.

The Cops was an upcoming animated comedy coming to TBS set to premiere March  2018. The Cops follows Al (Brooks) and Lou (C.K.), two Los Angeles patrolmen trying their best to protect and serve, sometimes failing at both. Ride with them as they patrol one of the biggest cities in the world, then go home with them and be glad you’re not married to either.
