APAC: Australia’s Channel Seven saves “The Simpsons”

No word on whether Aussie free-to-air viewers will get Futurama and Bob’s Burgers back though.

Proving definitively that the strong protect the sweet, Australia’s Channel Seven have stepped in to end the awful Simpsons drought that’s been plaguing my homeland since October. It has yet to be announced which other Fox shows Seven have also bought the rights to under this new deal, but the total cost is rumored to be as high as $40 million dollary-doos.

Given Seven’s sister channel 7mate is the current free-to-air home of Family Guy and American Dad!, here’s hoping the network is feeling sentimental and chooses to reunite the entire Fox animated library.
