Anime Continues To Seep Into Hip Hop Fashion Feat. Megan Thee Stallion And Open Mike Eagle

Megan Thee Stallion recently flaunted her new nails…Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure-style. Inspired by the Stardust Crusaders run of the series, the rapper wanted to show the world her new stems and let everyone know she’s a true fan.

Fellow hip hop artist and also noted Jojo fan, Open Mike Eagle, has released a new record entitled Anime, Trauma and Divorce and took part in an interview with Funimation that you can see below. You may remember the track that Open Mike debuted with Adult Swim called “I’m A JoeStar” which actually premiered during the Toonami action-toon lineup that, at the time, featured Jojo. The anime series just wrapped it’s latest arc that you can see our review for here.

All of this comes at a time when the worlds of hip hop and anime continue to mesh quite well leading to a plethora of cross-over opportunities with the likes of Michael B. Jordan, Billie Eilish, and others also showcasing various anime fandom. For fans wanting to get in on the action, Lootcrate has a holiday-infused month of anime going on right now. Series like Gintama, Food Wars!, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, Gundam Wing and Yume are featured with merch like coffee mugs and items that retail starting @ $28.95. Go here for more information.
