Animators Around The World Jam On “Your Face”
Animation brings people together.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 30 years since the release of Bill Plympton’s Oscar-nominated short, Your Face. The short was aired on Liquid Television and featured vocal contributions from Maureen McElheron who voices a dude that sits on a chair singing about the face of his love.
The imagery is powerful, and not surprisingly, this, along with most of Bill Plympton’s work, has become the inspiration for animation producers all over the world and to prove it a bunch of them came together to put their own spin on the classic short that you can check out below. It’s called Your Face Global Jam, and we’ve included the original with the new one so you can compare and contrast the different productions.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
