Anyone who has watched every episode of HBO’s Animals thus far, as I have, will know that producers Mike Luciano and Phil Matarese love to experiment and try new shit when it comes to the production of their episodes. Whether it’s arcs one week, to more of a sketch format at times, and everything in between.

This Friday will be the boys’ most ambitious effort yet when Animals premiere a new live-action/animated hybrid episode called “Humans”. The initial trailer sees the episode kick off like any other normal episode of Animals when it comes to the humans, complete with the constant grunting, only for it to transition to that of a live-action episode.

In the live-action episode, Dr. Labcoat, an unscrupulous scientist at the headquarters of the evil conglomerate Pesci Co., prepares for the rollout of a mysterious cure for the virus plaguing New York City.

Entertainment Tonight got a first-look at the episode which features RuPaul Charles guest starring as the doctor along with his assistant played by John Early.
