A FRIGGIN’ EXPENSIVE SPUMCO COMICS HARDCOVER IS SET TO RELEASE FEB 2013

For those who might not remember, Spumco was the company that brought us the always legendary Ren & Stimpy Show and the absolutely terrible Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon. The studio  was headed up by the great John Kricfalusi and they did everything from TV to  music videos and yes comic books. Don’t believe me?? Well, fuck you because IDW Publishing is set to release the entire run of Spumco Comics in a hardcover deal set to release Feb 13th, 2013 in stores everywhere for the friggin’ expensive price of $35 (yes, you can preorder for like $23 on Amazon).

I love John K. as much as the next person and even wrote about his recent Kickstarter project, but if my mother were to put out a collection of comic books and it cost $35, I probably wouldn’t buy it. That said, if a soft cover release comes out, I’d be more likely to look into that for sure.
