50 Cent Animated Series Inches Closer On FOX After New Deal

Years ago, FOX was teasing a new adult animated series with 50 Cent that would have followed the legendary rapper’s upbringing. The series, produced by Carl Jones (The Boondocks), never really had a TON of updates since, but since then FOX Entertainment was sired after 20th Television was bought by Disney, and now we have a new deal in place between FOX and Curtis Jackson that maybe gets us just a tad closer to the possibility of this project coming to fruition.

According to Deadline,Curtis Jackson has inked a non-exclusive broadcast rights deal with FOX Entertainment that includes animated series that will be produced and developed by G-Unit Film & Television and eventually owned by Fox Entertainment and produced by FOX Entertainment Studios. This means that if an adult animated comedy from Curtis would come through FOX, the series would be animated by Bento Box Productions (Bob’s Burgers).

While there has been no order initiated for the aforementioned animated comedy series, now we’re getting closer. In the meantime, 50 Cent is producing an animated adaptation of the Trill League series for BET+.
